FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Personally, our team "chooses" NOT to offer hay to our rat colony. Hay will not harm your rat but also useless for nutritional needs.
Where are you located?
We are located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Can rats be shipped?
No, we don't ship our rats anywhere. Rats can only be picked up in person. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Can we breed a male and female rat?
No, we highly discourage it. We do not recommend breeding as our rats are related. We are careful when selecting Doe's and Buck's of the same family.
Can I give my rats hay?
Pet rats don’t require hay as part of their diet — unlike rabbits or guinea pigs, they don’t rely on it for digestion or dental health. However, many rats enjoy using hay for nesting, shredding, and foraging enrichment. Providing a small amount can satisfy their natural instincts to build cozy nests and explore, but it’s not a nutritional necessity.
